[Detroit] Sugar House

Earlier this week, a couple of friends and I went to Sugar House, a fancy bar found in Corktown, right next to Slow’s BBQ. It’s almost like a hole in the wall, I would have walked by if my friends hadn’t held the door open for me. The menu is extensive–season drinks, 100 Classics, lists and lists of American and foreign whiskies, rums, tequila, gin and absinthe etc. The bartenders were also incredibly knowledgeable, and you could tell that they cared about what you wanted to drink. My friends had a couple of surprise cocktails that our bartender made based on whichever flavor profiles they were leaning towards and  ones to avoid–my friends who went prior have yet to be disappointed!

In any case, I had a great time and amazing daquiri. This place is definitely a new favorite 🙂
