Blowing Raspberries

I’m back! Thanks to the past few weeks of exams and projects and presentations and lab reports (oh yes, and spring break), I’ve had to take an unexpected hiatus from the internet. That, and I’ve recently been trying my hand at baking (Parisian macarons!) and some nail art but that’s neither here nor there. What is here today is a follow up to the previous post: I bring you the raspberry cake that I ate:

Raspberry Cake from Ange Coco Patisserie

My host mom took me shopping a few times in the Hakata train station–which also happens to double up as a shopping center, also called depachika (more later). In the basement are lines of little bakeries and souvenir shops. One happens to be a bakery called Ange Coco Patisserie with beautiful little cakes. This is the raspberry one that I claimed! Mmm mm yum!

Also, those gold flecks? Yep, they are what you think they are.
